Special Enrollment March 14-26 for Agreement (Union) Life Insurance

Are you prepared for the “What Ifs?”

No one likes to think about life’s uncertainties, but have you considered what would happen to your family if you never made it home today?    If you were to die, would they be able to continue at their current lifestyle?  Although we can’t predict the future, one of the best ways to prepare for life’s unexpected turns is through life insurance. No amount of money can replace you, but the right amount of life insurance can go a long way to help your family members maintain their standard of living without being burdened by debt.

Group Life Insurance is a low-cost way to establish a financial safety net. Agreement/union employees will have the option to purchase life and/or accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance through MetLife, Union Pacific’s insurance carrier, during a limited Special Enrollment period, March 14-26.

Look for enrollment materials, including coverage options and costs, to soon arrive at your home. You can also find information, including access to MetLife’s Life Insurance Calculator on UP’s Life Insurance Web page.

Although the amount of life insurance needed may vary from person to person, experts recommend having enough coverage to cover all outstanding debt (mortgage and other loans), plus five years of income.

For more information and to enroll online, visit http://www.metlife.com/mybenefits or call MetLife at 866-492-6983.
