June 1, 2011 Discipline Policy changes

The following changes to the Union Pacific Policy and Procedures for Ensuring Rules Compliance (Discipline Policy) are effective June 1, 2011. 

1.  The retention period for an individual signing a waiver that results in a Current Discipline Status of 4C will be reduced from 24 months to 18 months.  However, a waiver for a 4C Current Discipline Status will only be granted if the individual agrees to brief his/her manager on the incident resulting in the 4C status.

2. Rule 2.21, Electronic Devices, was entered into the Assessment Table as a level 4 rule.

3. CE Bulletin 122.3.1, referenced under level 4 Chief Engineer Bulletins, was changed to 122.3.
