UTU - New Rates/Backpay/Entry Rate Bonus
As previously communicated in UPOnline, Union Pacific employees working a position governed by the UTU, including A&S Yardmasters, ratified a new contract on September 2, 2011. The ratified agreement includes, among other things, six general wage increases, no changes to work rules, changes to the service scale and probationary period for new employees, and changes in the plan design for health care benefits.
The new pay rates became effective September 6. Entry rate bonuses will be included on the first half October paycheck, paid Oct. 25. Back pay will be included on the second half October paycheck, paid Nov. 10.
