New CBA Consolidates Yardmaster Agreements
Effective July 1, 2012
Union Pacific yardmasters are represented by the United Supervisors Council of America, which is comprised of the United Transportation Union - Yardmasters (UTU-Y) and the Western Railway Supervisors Association - Transportation Communication Union (WRSA) organizations. On June 29, 2012, the USCA yardmasters ratified a new Consolidated Master Agreement, effective July 1, 2012. The new Agreement is a consolidation of the two separate Collective Bargaining Agreements that previously governed yardmaster work and replaces the UTU-Y Agreement dated December 1, 1975, and the WRSA Agreement dated December 1, 1994. The new Consolidated Master Agreement also settles the parties' Section Six notices.
