Engineering Employees - Automobiles and Mileage Reminder

When traveling on Company business at the direction of management and when employees are agreeable and authorized to use their person vehicles, employees may charge the IRS prevailing mileage rate for normal roadway travel miles by the most direct route. Passengers are not allowed to charge mileage. For example, passengers who are car pooling do not qualify for mileage reimbursement.

This information does not change or modify any union agreement rules, including any rules that provide a standard travel allowance for travel to and from work at the beginning and end of work weeks. If you have questions, please submit them to Ask LR or contact your supervisor.

Leave Feedback

Your question will not be posted, but will be forwarded to a Labor Relations representative. If you request a personal response, you must include your e-mail address/contact information.
