Your Agreement Health FSA: How Can You Use It?

How can you use your health FSA?

Call the FSA Customer Care Center at 1-888-298-9754 (8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST).

There are several ways to use your health FSA dollars, including:

  • Use your Health Care Spending Card from UnitedHealthcare.
It's that simple. You can use the card to pay for eligible FSA medical, dental, vision and pharmacy expenses by phone, the Web or any place that accepts MasterCard. Your card is connected directly to your health FSA account. By using your card there is no need to write checks or submit an online or paper reimbursement form.
  • Through automatic claims payment.
Claim information for you and your enrolled dependents will automatically roll over from most of the Railroad's benefit plan administrators* when they process a claim from a provider, hospital or pharmacy. Upon notification, any member responsibility owed on that claim for any eligible FSA expenses, such as deductible or co-payments, will be automatically deducted from your health FSA. No reimbursement forms or requests are necessary. The automatic payment feature is usually set to "on" when you start your health FSA plan year. To turn it off at any time or to ensure that it is set to on, go to myuhc.com, click on View Account Balances and select Automatic Payment Options.
*Benefit plan administrators include Aetna, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Express Scripts, EyeMed and United Behavioral Health.
  • Manually request reimbursement.
You can submit claims and receipts for eligible health FSA expenses online at myuhc.com or with a paper reimbursement form. Your reimbursements can be deposited directly into your checking or savings account (sign up at myuhc.com), or a check will be mailed to you. Remember to keep your receipts - you will need to include these when submitting for reimbursement.
